Alternative Nostril Breathing helps reduce anxiety, promote hormonal balance and regulate day & night cycle. To perform proper nostril breathing, sit in a relaxed position on a chair or lie down on a bed, close left nostril with one finger and slowly breathe in through right nostril for a count of 4, hold your breath for a count of 7, and slowly breathe out for a count of 8. Repeat the process on using the other nostril. Repeat a total count of 10 times for each nostril.

This breathing technique which is widely practiced in Yoga, not only improves respiratory health, but also promotes secretion of melatonin which relieves anxiety, regulates hormone balance and natural circadian rhythms.

As a family, we have been experimenting with clay pots daily for the past month. My family agreed that I suddenly became the best cook … with my secret ingredient being the clay pot! Here are the many benefits of cooking with earthen cooking ware or clay pots.
